The use of induced resistance in the control of plant diseases is under continually increasing investigation. Large amounts of relevant information have become available over the last few years. This approach is included in Italian and international research projects, and it is well accepted also by organic and integrated growers. The workshop will focus on the research and applied aspects of induced resistance in the control of diseases caused by viruses and viroids, bacteria, fungi and phytoplasma. Four sessions are planned: Virus and Viroid Diseases; Bacterial Diseases; Phytoplasma Diseases; and Fungal Diseases. Good discussion around these topics is expected.
